Lovely that that you have found me, for that means that you are on your personal journey towards expanded consciousness.
All our paths and personal journeys, our lessons to learn are different to each other but the way to deeper understanding of the Self, to living a life of fulfillment, of a deep sence of peace will be found by expanding your awareness.
I have dedicated my life to yoga as a path to find inner peace. This is the ultimate goal of any spiritual practice. Letting go of your tensions that cloud your awareness of that place within you that is of peace!
On this webside under Retreats you will find information about the different Retreats that I will give in the coming year in the beautiful Wellbeing Retreat, Shanti Som. The different teachings given to you in the retreats will help you on your journey inwards, to uncover that place within you where you are whole and innerly peaceful. To directly experience the continuous flow of wellbeing that is always available to you.
You can find me for weekly classes or book me fo individualized private classes. My schedule can be found under weekly yoga classes and there is more information about how Yoga can work for you as a Therapy to maintain or re-find your health when you are suffering from different ailments under Yoga Therapy.

Yoga
The word yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India, where yoga was originated.
In yoga you will bring consciousness into the body, you will come home, within yourself, in this moment, the only moment that is real.
That makes it possible to see and feel with love and acceptance what is within you. The first step in healing and or transformation is to restore the connection with yourself.
With every breath we can release that what is no longer needed and open ourselves up, connect with the earth and the universe or all there is. With every breath we take we fill ourselves with new vital energy or "prana".
Every moment is a new chance to experience your Self completely, empty yourself, releasing and surrender, to be filled again with the connecting energy of the universe, That what you really are,

What to expect from a yoga class:
Originally I have followed a 3 year course in Transformational yoga at yoga centre Sai Mithra, Amsterdam.
Transformative yoga is a unique combination of hatha yoga postures, consciousness of the chakras (energy centre), meditation and relaxation. Experiences and thoughts manifest themselves in the body (as tensions, blockades or illness), your self-image, your relations and your actions.
Through the practice of yoga we will gain consciousness and transformation can take place. As a result you will be more open to experience the love and silence within you, which are already present in everyone.
In 2008 I have been to India to the Yoga University (Yoga Vidya Gurukul) for a study in Yoga Therapy to deepen my understanding of how yoga works as a therapy for ailments.
As a yoga teacher you never stop learning. I highly appriciate the approach to yoga as developed by D.K.S. Iyengar and enjoy to teach in the more invigorative yoga style Vinyasa Flow wich will give a total body workout and work the cardiovascular system when appropriate. I will always try to teach in a style that is most suitable for my clients to make your journey worth it to you.
The duration of every lesson will be about 1.5 hour.
You can expect a blend of styles and in private classes we shall look together what approach on yoga will suit your needs best.
Your wellbeing is my first concern. I deeply wish for everyone on earth to find inner peace, health and wisdom.
The primary aim of yoga is to restore the mind to simplicity and peace, and free it from confusion and distress.
This sense of calm comes from the practice of yogic asanas an pranayama.
Yoga gently rejuvenates the body. By restoring the body, yoga frees the mind from the negative feelings caused by fast pace of modern life.
The practice of yoga fills up the reservoirs of hope and optimism within you.
